Allyson Ramage is an artist of many mediums. Inspired by wild beauty, balance, mothering, and spirituality, her creativity expresses itself through writing, dancing, painting, and creating sacred spaces.
After earning a Bachelor’s of Art in Dance, from San Francisco State, she worked as a children’s dance instructor and performed throughout California and New York with three modern dance companies: Isaacs, McCaleb, and Dancers; Strong Current; and Huckabay McAllister Dance.
Allyson began painting after she met her husband, a talented visual artist and musician, who encouraged her to paint with him as she invited him to dance with her. She found her first paintings were large sweeping compositions, full of movement. She works in oils and watercolors. Her subject matter in oils tends to the Gods and other spirit beings she meets in meditations; while watercolor brings out youthful pieces. She has her first published piece in “The Star of Opening” to be released later this year.
Allyson is blessed to live in the most beautiful place on earth, the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. There, she helped her husband build a fairytale cottage where they care take 11 redwoods with their son, kitty-cat, and puppy.
